Heavy Vapours is a Committee Release from Ardbeg, an Islay single malt bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It is built around the idea of a missing purifier, the part of the still that shapes Ardbeg's balance. Without it, the pungent, peaty vapours stay in the liquid, which shifts the usual balance of flavours and makes this the most full-blown Ardbeg to date.
The aroma is pungent and earthy, with dark chocolate and sharp peppermint rising through the smoke.
Tasting Notes
pungent earthiness, dark chocolate, sharp peppermint, smoke
