Ardbeg Scorch is an Islay single malt, a distillery bottling released in 2021 as a Committee Release for the Covid-affected phantom Feis Ile Ardbeg Day. It is bottled at 51.7% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in heavily charred casks, re-used from those of the 2011 Ardbeg Alligator. The result is described as heavily charcoal-influenced and phenolic, yet still sweet.
Tasting Notes
Charcoal-influenced, phenolic, still sweet
