Ardbeg Smoketrails is the 2023 Traveller's Exclusive edition, an annual release bottled at 46% ABV in a one-litre bottle.
It was matured in a blend of bourbon and Côte Rôtie wine casks, which adds red fruit and spice to the peat smoke. The nose is peat smoke, black pepper, grilled peppers and red fruit. On the palate it is smoky and spicy over a sweet undertone of berries and wood, and the finish is medium long, warm and smoky with a slightly winey note.
