Ardbeg Spectacular is a limited edition Islay single malt made for Ardbeg Day 2024 and the Fèis Ìle festival. It is bottled at 46% and is non-chill-filtered.
The whisky brings together spirit matured in port casks, a first for Ardbeg, and spirit from classic ex-bourbon casks. The familiar Ardbeg smoke is set against floral top notes and a sweet background.
The nose is perfumed, with lavender, grass and incense over leather, almonds and wax. The palate is salty and viscous, with smoked pear crumble and fudge, and the finish is long and complex.
