Ardbeg Spectacular is the 2024 Ardbeg Day release, a limited edition from the Islay distillery, created by Dr Bill Lumsden. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
What sets it apart is the cask route. For the first time in the distillery's history, the malt was matured in rare port casks and then moved into classic ex-bourbon casks.
The character is built on sweetness meeting peat smoke, with smoky nuances throughout.
