Ardbeg Traigh Bhan 19 Year Old Batch 3 is the third batch in an Islay series inspired by the Traigh Bhan beach. It was matured in American oak and Oloroso sherry casks.
This batch was bottled during the global lockdown, after spending months in the furthest reaches of the Ardbeg warehouse.
The nose brings woodsmoke, sea spray and pine resin, with aniseed toffee, sweet lilies and citrus zest. On the palate, sappy richness gives way to sweet smoke, tarry rope, treacle toffee and walnuts. The finish is long, with bitter almonds and clove.
