Ardbeg Traigh Bhan is a 19 year old Islay single malt, produced in small batches and released year by year. It takes its name from Traigh Bhan beach, known locally as the Singing Sands.
Batch 4 is the fourth release in the series. Slight changes to the cask selection give it a more herbal and distinctly mentholic character than the batch before.
The nose offers gentle wood smoke, fresh sea spray and eucalyptus. The palate is oily, with rich fudge, then smoky peat and aniseed. The long finish is sharp and intense, with savoury notes and smoke.
