Ardbeg – Uigeadail

An Islay single malt from Ardbeg, and the first higher-strength Ardbeg released after the distillery reopened. It is a vatting of 90% ex-bourbon and 10% sherry casks. The name comes from the spring high in the hills that supplies Ardbeg's water. The colour is a light gold. The nose is rich, sweet and smoky, with chocolate and caramel. The palate combines sweet, salty and smoky flavours. The finish is very long, with caramel and malt woven through peat smoke and dark sugar, and a hint of fresh espresso before it fades.
