Ardbeg – Uigeadail (70cl)

Ardbeg Uigeadail is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, put together by the distillery manager from Ardbeg malts of different ages and cask types. Some were matured in American oak bourbon casks and some in Oloroso sherry casks, joining Ardbeg's deep smoke with raisin-sweet aromas. It is named after Loch Uigeadail, the loch on Islay from which Ardbeg takes its water. The name is Gaelic for dark and mysterious. The nose is smoky, with coffee and cigar smoke, plenty of peat and sweet sherry with cocoa and wood. On the palate, full smoke is balanced by sherry sweetness, with caramel and toffee blending into the peat. The finish is very long and smoky.
