Ardbeg Uigeadail is an Islay single malt, pronounced 'Oog-a-dal', in a 70cl bottle at 54.2% ABV. It is a vatting that pairs Ardbeg's traditional deep, smoky character with the raisiny richness of old ex-sherry casks.
The Ardbeg Committee, a membership of more than 120,000, voted it their favourite Ardbeg.
The nose is rich and smoky, with Christmas cake, walnut oil, treacle toffee and chocolate-coated raisins. The palate is full and mouth-coating, moving from sweetness through winter spices to deep smoke. The finish is long and chewy, with raisins, mocha and aromatic smoke.
