Ardbeg – Vintage 1980 Kildalton 23 Years Old (70cl, 57.6%)

Ardbeg Vintage 1980 Kildalton is a 23-year-old Islay single malt, distilled in 1980 and bottled by the distillery in 2004 at 57.6% in a 70cl bottle. The outturn was 1,300 bottles. The nose combines peat smoke, sea air and earthy notes with dried fruit, sweet malt and weathered oak. The palate is full and concentrated, with strong peat smoke and a maritime character, malt and fruit sweetness, spice and wood. The finish is long and warming, with lingering smoke, salty accents and spicy wood.
