Ardbeg VINTAGE_Y2K is a limited release 23 year old Islay single malt at 46% ABV, themed around the year 2000. It was matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks and has a light amber colour.
The nose is herbal, sweet and fragrant, with lemon balm, linseed oil and candied walnuts behind a faint, perfumed smokiness. With water, heather honey and a touch of creosote come through. The palate is fizzy and sweet, with aniseed, caramel, peppermint, tar and coffee beans. The finish is long, with antiseptic lozenges, bitter oranges and oak tannins.
