Ardbeg Y2K is a 23 year old Islay single malt from whisky laid down in the year 2000, as the Millennium Bug worried the world. It is the first release from this stock.
The whisky was matured in Oloroso sherry bourbon casks.
On the nose there is lemon balsam and linseed oil, with heather honey and creosote. The palate is intensely sweet and classically smoky, with peppermint and aniseed leading into ground coffee and oak tannins.
