Ardbeg – Vintage_Y2K 24 Years Old (47.8%)

Ardbeg Vintage_Y2K 24 Years Old is an Islay single malt and the second release in the Vintage_Y2K series. It is a limited edition, bottled at 47.8%. Dr Bill Lumsden finished the whisky in Amontillado sherry casks, the first time Ardbeg had finished whisky in them. The series marks the distillery's restoration and return to production in 2000, after it was saved in 1997, and joins spirit from its historic still with newer whisky-making techniques. It is described as delicately nutty and smoky, with notes of creamy toffee, almonds and tobacco.
