Wee Beastie is a five year old single malt from Ardbeg, the Islay distillery.
The nose is coastal, with sea spray and salt alongside the sweet tang of dried cherry and fig. Freshly cut oak and burnt driftwood add depth, while cracked black pepper and pine resin bring a spicy, resinous edge.
The palate is notably smooth, with robust flavours of smoked and seasoned meats, and the finish runs on for a very long time.
