Ardbeg Young Uigeadail is an Islay single malt from the Ardbeg distillery, released by the distillery in the Committee Reserve series for devoted followers of Ardbeg. It was bottled on 30 March 2006 at 59.9%, in a run of 1,392 bottles of 70cl.
The whisky was matured in three bourbon hogsheads and one sherry butt. The bourbon casks bring vanilla and sweet malt, and the sherry butt adds depth and dried fruit, alongside Ardbeg's peat smoke and salty sea air.
The nose is peaty and salty, with vanilla, malt and spiced wood. The palate has vanilla, caramel and dried fruit, and the finish is long and warming, with peat, salt and sweet wood.
