Ardnamurchan – 10 Year Old 2025 (70cl, 46.8%)

This is the first ten-year-old release from Ardnamurchan, a young distillery on the west coast of Scotland. It was distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2025 at 46.8% ABV, non-chill-filtered and in natural colour. It is not yet part of the core range and appears in limited quantities. Maturation was 98% in bourbon casks and 2% in sherry casks. The spirit combines 52% unpeated and 48% peated malt, which gives sweetness, light fruit and a measured touch of smoke. The nose brings coconut, oat biscuits and zesty orange peel over sea air and bonfire leaves, with a hint of strawberry sweets and mint. The palate is rich and creamy, with vanilla custard, vanilla wafers, brine and earthy smoke.
