Ardnamurchan – 10 Years Old AD/ White Port Cask Release (52%)

This is a 10 year old Highland single malt from Ardnamurchan, the first AD/ White Port Cask Release from the distillery on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. It is made entirely from unpeated spirit and bottled at 52% ABV in an edition of 6,800 bottles. The whisky was matured first in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in White Port barriques. The bourbon wood lays down a soft, sweet foundation, while the unpeated spirit lets the bright, fruity influence of the White Port come through. It is of natural colour and not chill-filtered. The finish is long and gently tannic.
