A single cask Ardnamurchan, distilled in 2015 and bottled in July 2021 at five years old by North Star Spirits as Series 16. This peated Highland single malt was matured in a first fill bourbon barrel and bottled at 52.5% ABV, without colouring or chill filtration.
The cask yielded 247 bottles. Ardnamurchan is made by Adelphi.
The nose is described as foam bananas and toasted fruit loaf. The palate brings tropical barbecued fruits, orange peel and a hint of Marmite, and the finish is long, soft and sweet, with peat smoke and the salty sea air of Sanna Bay.
