This is a 7-year-old Ardnamurchan single malt, distilled on 21 June 2019 and matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel, cask number 1200. Bartels Whisky chose it for the Highland Laird series and bottled it at a cask strength of 58.3% ABV, with natural colour and without chill-filtration. The cask gave 275 bottles.
The nose combines bright citrus, green fruit, golden honey and vanilla, with a trace of salt and faint smoke. The palate is creamy, with vanilla fudge, toffee, apple, pear and dry oak. The finish is long and spicy, with vanilla, oak and a little citrus.
