Ardnamurchan AD/07.21:05 is the fifth release of single malt from the Ardnamurchan distillery, bottled at 46.8% ABV.
The whisky combines 65% malt matured in bourbon casks with 35% from sherry casks. It is made from peated and unpeated barley in equal parts and spent at least five years in cask.
The nose is roasted brown sugar and barley with charred oak underneath. On the palate come caramelised nuts, fruity sherry notes and spice, and the finish has a faint sea-breeze saltiness alongside dried fruit and orange peel.
