Ardnamurchan AD/Rum Cask Release is the distillery's first rum cask bottling, a single malt at 55%. It combines 58% unpeated and 42% peated spirit, finished for two and a half years in Jamaican rum casks. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour, with 7,200 bottles produced.
The rum casks bring funky, fruity character that sits alongside the salty, weighty spirit.
The nose is fruit-forward yet earthy and rich, with lemon ice, overripe apricot and salted cashew. The palate runs from candied grapefruit to guava and buttercream, and the finish is bright and medium to long.
