This is a peated single malt from Ardnamurchan, a 2025 release of the AD/Sauternes cask bottling. It was made from 100% peated spirit and yielded 8460 bottles, here in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV.
The spirit spent 3 years in an ex-bourbon cask before being reracked into ex-Sauternes barriques for a further 3.5 years.
The distillery describes a nose of lime leaf, lemon balm, shortbread and pineapple upside-down cake, with stem ginger and tobacco. On the palate come nutmeg, smoked manuka honey and lemon meringue pie, ending in hickory wood and farmy smoke. The finish is spicy, punchy and bright.
