The Midgie is the 2026 release from Ardnamurchan, Scotland's most westerly mainland distillery, created in honour of the Highland midge. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
This year's release is a vatting of 34% ex-American bourbon barrels, 49% Ruby Port barriques and 17% Tawny Port casks. The spirit is split roughly 70% unpeated and 30% peated.
