A single cask-style bottling of Ardnamurchan, released by the independent bottler Adelphi in 2024 in collaboration with Maclean & Bruce. It is a 5 year old single malt at a cask strength of 58%.
The whisky was distilled in 2018 and comes from two first fill Oloroso sherry butts, one filled with peated spirit and one with unpeated. The release is limited to 1403 bottles.
The nose offers cooked jam, barbecue charcoal, malty sweetness, fresh raspberries and sweet cherries. On the palate it is richly fruity, with red fruit compote, fruit jelly, a touch of chimney soot and a complex spice mix. The finish is dry and very spicy, with smoke at the end.
