A 5 year old Ardnamurchan bottled by the independent bottler Adelphi in 2020 to mark the 28th anniversary of MacLean & Bruce. Two sister Oloroso sherry butts were filled in 2015, and the whisky was bottled at its natural cask strength of 59.3% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The outturn is 1,333 bottles.
The nose is described as savoury, with nutmeg, orange marmalade, smoked bacon, liquorice root, a little medicinal peat and fennel, then chestnuts, tobacco, roasted almonds, chocolate and sandalwood. The palate is oily, with ginger, light saltiness, chocolate, lemon peel, liquorice and some smoke. The finish brings chocolate, mocha, charcoal and green tea.
