Ardnamurchan – Cask Strength 2024 (70cl, 58.3%)

This is the 2024 release of Ardnamurchan Cask Strength, an annual limited batch from the Highland distillery first introduced in 2022. It is made from 87% peated and 13% unpeated spirit, matured in 90% ex-bourbon and 10% ex-sherry casks. It is non-chill-filtered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 58.3%, in a 70cl bottle. The nose has coastal peat smoke, vanilla and bright citrus zest. The palate brings maritime peat, ripe orchard fruit, warm oak and gentle black pepper. The finish is lingering peat with a subtle seaweed salinity.
