This is the second Heritage Barley release from Ardnamurchan, made entirely from Golden Promise barley, unpeated, and matured in ex-bourbon casks. Golden Promise brings out the oily, viscous distillate the distillery is known for. It is bottled at 58.6% in a 70cl bottle, and the colour is described as Chardonnay.
The nose brings white wine, gooseberry, jam tart, white chocolate, raspberry and marzipan. The palate offers lemon sherbet, apricot jam, dulce de leche, hazelnut and tablet. The finish is creamy, voluptuous and long but assertive.
