Ardnamurchan – Heritage Barley 2026 Sherry Cask (70cl, 58.4%)

Ardnamurchan Heritage Barley 2026 Sherry is the sherry cask expression of the distillery's annual Golden Promise release. It is unpeated and bottled at cask strength, 58.4% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill-filtration. Golden Promise is a heritage barley that gives a richer, oilier spirit than modern high-yielding strains, here paired with the dark fruit character of ex-sherry maturation. The distillery sits on the most westerly point of the British mainland. The nose has brandy-soaked cherry, blackberry schnapps and spearmint. The palate offers dried ginger, leather, cardamom, toffee and pancakes with maple syrup, with a pumpernickel note. The finish is jammy, spicy and long.
