Ardnamurchan – Madeira Cask Batch 2 Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This is the second batch of Ardnamurchan's Madeira cask release, a Highland single malt. It combines 43 per cent peated and 57 per cent unpeated whisky, matured first in ex-bourbon casks and then moved into Madeira casks. It is bottled without added colouring or chill-filtration. The nose has cocoa, candied almonds, vanilla cream and sweet spice, with stewed stone fruit. The palate brings cedar, cinnamon, salted peanuts, raisins and toffee apples, with peppery warmth from pine-wood peat. The finish is earthy and woody, with smoke, dried berries and dark chocolate.
