This is the first Madeira Cask Release from Ardnamurchan, a Highland single malt bottled in October 2022 at a cask strength of 58.2%, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The outturn was 5,781 bottles.
It was made from unpeated spirit distilled in 2016 and matured in 25 first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks, then finished for 14 months in Madeira casks.
The nose is candied orange peel, caramelised dates and fresh honey. The palate brings double cream, jasmine and red berries. The finish has gentle smoke and spice.
