Ardnamurchan – Peated 2019/2025 6 Year Old Barrel Highlander Inn Chichibu (70cl, 59.1%)

This is a peated Ardnamurchan, distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2025 at six years old. It comes from a single first-fill bourbon barrel and is bottled at 59.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is the sixth annual release chosen by Highlander Inn Japan, which runs Highlander Inn Chichibu, and it marks the sixth anniversary of the company. The team picked the barrel from cask samples, and it turned out to have been distilled in 2019, the year the company was founded. Ardnamurchan is the westernmost distillery on the Scottish mainland, established in 2014 by Adelphi. Citrus fruit and an oily texture stand out, and the flavour deepens with each sip.
