Ardnamurchan Sauternes Cask Peated is the 2025 release of a peated single malt from the Highland distillery on the Ardnamurchan peninsula, bottled at 50% ABV. It spent three years in ex-bourbon casks, then a further three and a half years in ex-Sauternes barriques.
The nose combines soft floral notes, honey and ripe apricot with fine peat smoke and a hint of sea salt. The palate is soft and harmonious, with blossom honey, vanilla and yellow fruit wrapped in smoke. The finish is medium in length, with sweet warmth, light smoke and a touch of heather flower.
