This is a single malt from Ardnamurchan, the distillery on the Ardnamurchan peninsula of Lochaber in the Highlands. It is a vatting of unpeated whisky aged for 8 years, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in Sauternes wine barriques.
The nose is sweet and fruity, with citrus, apples, apricot and brioche. The palate shows lemon, green apples, grapefruit, cereal and salted caramel, with notes of wood. The finish is medium and sweet, with pleasantly drying spice and herbs.
