Ardnamurchan – Single Malt (70cl, 46.8%)

Ardnamurchan is a single malt made from half unpeated and half peated malted barley. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks, which make up 65% of the whisky, and ex-sherry casks, which make up the remaining 35%. It is bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle. The nose brings orchard fruit, oyster shell, eucalyptus and gentle smoke. On the palate come tobacco leaf, peppercorns, brine, hay, almond paste and light peat. The finish is long, iodine-tinged and smoky.
