Ardnamurchan – The Midgie (70cl)

Ardnamurchan The Midgie is a single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, made to honour the Highland midge, described as Scotland's most infamous creature. The notes range widely: gammon ham with torched pineapple, salted prunes, strawberry jam on a salty cracker, coconut macaroon and spearmint sit alongside salt-baked pear, meadowsweet, wildflowers and lemon thyme. Cherrywood embers, cocoa powder and pink peppercorns follow, with a gentle puff of smoke. Sweet and salty notes mingle throughout, and the finish is dry and lengthy.
