Armand de Brignac Brut Gold, known as Ace of Spades, is a non-vintage prestige cuvée Champagne made by the Cattier family in the Montagne de Reims. It is the brand's first release and comes in a gold metal bottle with a hand-applied pewter label.
The blend is 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier, drawn from three harvests and from premier and grand cru villages. It is aged at least 36 months on the lees. The dosage is around 9 g/L, made with wine aged for a year in French oak.
The nose offers peach, apricot and red berry over orange blossom, crystallised citrus and toasted brioche. The palate is rich and creamy, with cherry, exotic fruit, lemon, vanilla and honey, and the finish is soft and long.
