Arran 10 Year Old is a single malt from the Arran Distillery at Lochranza on the Isle of Arran, founded in 1995. It is the core bottling of the range, matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks and bottled at 46%. The distillery states that it uses no artificial colouring and no chill filtration.
The nose is fresh and fruity, with green apple, citrus and pear, plus vanilla, honey and a little coconut. The palate is soft and balanced, with ripe apple, vanilla and a hint of hazelnut. The finish is medium in length, fresh and lightly spicy, with vanilla, citrus and gentle spice.
