Arran – 14 Years (70cl, 46%)

Arran 14 Years is a single malt from the Isle of Arran, distilled at the Lochranza distillery. It joins the Arran core range after a break of eight years, and is bottled at 46% abv without chill filtration. The whisky matured in bourbon casks and partly in Palo Cortado sherry casks. Tasting notes describe a nose of malt and cereal, fruit syrup, apple, pear, apricot, mandarin and vanilla, with a salty touch. The palate brings mandarin, apple, apricot and mango alongside white pepper, nutmeg, nuts and citrus, with the bourbon influence to the fore. The finish is medium in length, with oak, malt and a salty note.
