This is an 18 year old single malt from the Arran distillery, bottled at 46% ABV.
The whisky is a vatting of first fill and second fill hogsheads with bourbon barrels, which then received a finish in first fill Oloroso sherry casks. The sherry influence is a defining part of its character.
It is typically described as well balanced, with real depth of flavour. Caramelised citrus and tropical fruit sit against a background of charred oak, giving an intense, well rounded dram.
