Arran – 1997 26 Year Old Single Cask 2023 Oloroso Sherry Butt 100th Anniversary (70cl, 53.2%)

This Arran single malt was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2023 after 26 years in an Oloroso sherry butt. It is bottled at a cask strength of 53.2% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The cask, number 844, was chosen to mark the 100th anniversary of Kammer-Kirsch, and the whisky is a special edition for that occasion. The nose is dry and nutty, with dark fruit and dried raisin. On the palate come blackcurrant, blackberry, cocoa, a dry sherry note and nutmeg. The finish is pleasantly warming, with sherry and wood.
