This is a 30 year old single malt from the Lochranza distillery on the Isle of Arran, offered in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It matured for three decades in a selection of sherry hogsheads and bourbon barrels.
It is bottled without chill-filtration and without added colour, and comes in a wooden box.
The nose offers burnt orange, star anise and cinnamon with toasted oak. The palate is round and sweet, with honey, ripe orchard fruit, vanilla, fine clove, creamy toffee and a spicy depth of dried fruit. The finish is long and sweet, with toffee apple, fresh orange zest and orange peel.
