This Arran single malt was distilled at the Lochranza Distillery and finished in ex-Amarone wine casks. Amarone is an Italian wine made from grapes that are dried before pressing. The whisky is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose opens with red fruit, fresh notes, oak and toffee. On the palate the wine influence is clear in a sweet, fruity start, followed by chocolate, pepper and oak. The finish brings tannins and dark chocolate.
