Arran – Rare Batch 15 Year Old French Oak Grand Cru (52.5%)

Arran Rare Batch 15 Year Old French Oak Grand Cru is a limited edition single malt from the Lochranza distillery, bottled at 52.5%, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Only 4,198 bottles were released. It spent seven years in bourbon casks and a further eight in French oak casks from north-eastern France that previously held Grand Cru wine. The exact wine region is kept secret. The nose brings honey, brioche, ripe apples and white flowers. The palate is creamy and lightly winey, with fresh citrus, vanilla and almond, and the long finish carries oak, citrus, dark chocolate and maraschino cherry.
