Arran – Rare Batch 15 Year Old Peated Sherry (54.4%)

This is a 15 year old single malt from Arran, a limited edition in the Rare Batch series that pairs peat smoke with sherry cask character. It is bottled at 54.4%. The whisky can be drunk neat or with a few drops of water. The nose offers peat, dried fruit, dark chocolate and spice. On the palate come layers of smoke, caramelised fruit, nuts and spiced oak. The finish is long and intense, with smoke and sweetness in balance.
