Arran – Sherry Cask "The Bodega" (55.8%)

Arran Sherry Cask "The Bodega" is a single malt matured entirely in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez in Spain. It is bottled at a cask strength of 55.8% ABV. It is made at the Arran distillery in Lochranza on the Isle of Arran, and is bottled without chill filtration or added colouring. The nose brings raisins, figs and dark chocolate, with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, orange peel and roasted nuts. The palate is full and oily, with black cherries, plums, dark chocolate and a hint of espresso, plus pepper and oak. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit, dark cocoa and a little spice.
