Arran The Bothy is a Quarter Cask single malt from the Isle of Arran, bottled at 56.2%. It matures first in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, then moves to smaller American oak casks for at least 18 months. The smaller casks add intensity, body and vanilla notes.
The nose is full, with a little sweetness and vanilla from the casks. The palate shows fresh citrus fruit and light sweetness, leading to a very elegant finish.
