This is a 6 year old Japanese single malt from Asaka distillery, from 2018 and drawn from a single bourbon barrel, number 18030. It is bottled at a cask strength of 61.4% in a 70cl bottle, and is one of 223 bottles produced. The bottling was made for attendees of the Yua Huang International Whisky Magazine Festival in 2024, as part of the Whisky Magazine Craft Whisky Collection for Taiwan. Asaka stands on the Koriyama plain in the Tohoku area of Japan. The distillery also produces the Yamazakura brand and belongs to Sasanokawa Shuzo, a producer whose history dates back to 1765.
