Asaka – Single Cask Whisky Collection Koriyama 2026 Exclusive Bottling (70cl, 61%)

This is a single cask single malt from the Asaka Distillery, selected and bottled by Mizunara: in Tokyo for Whisky Collection Koriyama 2026. The whisky was distilled on 9 April 2020 and bottled on 30 July 2026, after more than six years in a first fill bourbon barrel that previously held Early Times Kentucky bourbon. It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 61% and is not chill-filtered. 190 bottles were released across Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. The colour is pale gold. The nose has green apple, kyoho grape, pear, vanilla, honey and lemon butter cake. The palate brings cooked pears and peaches, cereal and malt, and a salted buttery richness with a thick, velvety texture. The finish carries oak spice and a gentle sweetness.
