Auchentoshan – 10 Year Old 2013/2023 Old Particular (48.4%)

This Auchentoshan 10 Year Old is a Lowland single malt from Douglas Laing's Old Particular range, which bottles single casks. Auchentoshan stands at Clydebank, close to Glasgow, and is known for triple distillation. The cask was filled in January 2013 and the whisky was bottled in August 2023. It matured in a single refill barrel that yielded 298 bottles at 48.4% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, and it comes in a tube in the classic Old Particular design. The nose is clean and floral with peach and manuka honey. Early spice gives way to lemony freshness on the palate, followed by creamy candyfloss sweetness, and a hint of peppermint appears in the finish.
